The good folk at Inked apparently loved my last submission - Bettie Trooper. However, it was pulled from their competition because of the possible copyright infringement of using a stormtrooper helmet in the image. I'm from a generation that grew up with Star Wars (the good ones, not the pants ones), and its imagery has become an essential part of our popular culture, hence it entering into a lot of my art.
Anyhoo, not being easily deterred, I decided to polish up another old piece and pop it into the comp ... Hell's Accordion Angel. Like the last one, their displayed images are a pixelly travesty, but if you have the time please hit the 5th star :)

Hey, big seller ...
Just received this week's BubbleWrap from the good folk at Red Bubble. Apparently I'm one of their biggest sellers - yay me!
Can't waste any time with this blog nonsense, I'm going to sail my yacht to my private island in the Caribbean.
Toodle pip!

Competition frenzy
I've just submitted a redux of my Bettie Trooper illo to the inked Tshirt competition. Unfortunately the quality of the image, as shown on their site, is so low it makes it look like a pixelly soup. Nonetheless, if you get a chance click on the 5th yellowy star please:)

Glutton for punishment
The nasty pasties at Threadless have decided that Tiki Time was not worthy of being squirted onto their precious fabric. Being a glutton for punishment, I have decided to submit it to the designbyhuman competition. I added a background, changed some elements and put a glowing green halftone effect around our 2 woody lovers.

Kozyndan print
Just framed a signed Uprisings print from my new chums Kozue and Dan Kitchens of Kozyndan. This bunny-ladened gem gives a healthy nod to the genius of Hokusai.
Whilst browsing in their shop I decided to pick up a couple of these bamboo fans to help me stave off the burning heat of this Australian summer.
